The boys have been asking to go fishing for ages. The parks system in Santa Clara County teams up with South Bay Fishing on certain days throughout the year to put on clinics where volunteers teach kids the ins and outs of the sport. They also lend out fishing poles. We went with our friends Gitta, Kiran, David, Encarna, and Ona to Ed Levin County Park in Milpitas. Although the kids were enthusiastic, none of the beginners were lucky enough to make a catch. Everyone around us was doing well. They probably took all the fish. This event filled up quickly so good thing we got there early.
