This was our first year at Spina Farms, a pumpkin patch on the back road between Almaden and Santa Teresa. It was a very nice farm with a huge field of sunflowers which we took a hayride through, a train ride (a little lame), lots of pumpkins of course, and a small petting zoo where we encountered milfleur chickens for the first time, aptly named for the many spots (flowers) on their feathers. The morning started out cloudy but the sun came up as more and more people stopped by and we made ready to leave.
