Almost most embarrassing moment

We went swimming at the JCC today and an elderly gentleman entered the pool. Alex looked at him and said very loudly, "Mama, his stomach is so big." Then after a moment, "That's yucky."

Thank goodness the first comment was spoken in Chinese and the second in German. We had a talk about hurting other people's feelings with such comments later that evening.
