Every Monday, Katya and I go on a very short 0.2 mile hike with some friends we have through Las Madres Almaden. Besides us, there's Adrian with her daughter Zelda and Maryann with her son Jason and dog Mia. Today, because of spring break, my Alex, Maryann's daughter Sammi, Sarah with her children Tessa and Theo also came with us. Christian had spring break last week. It was a very windy day so not as pleasant as usual. The way was lovely though and we always end by the picnic tables with the little ones playing with the sand in the horseshoe pits.
Adrian showed us these yellow plants on the ground called pineapple weed (second photo). If you squeeze the flower and smell your fingers, they smell like pineapple. Very cool.
